PARIS. France.- The Minister of Higher Education of Cuba, Jose Ramon Saborido, met in Paris with his French counterpart, Frederique Vidal, an occasion in which they emphasized the potential to strengthen links in this area.
According to diplomatic sources, both sides assessed as positive the status of French-Cuban cooperation in higher education, university exchange and joint investigations.
Saborido and Vidal agreed to continue advancing on the exchange of experiences regarding the professional insertion of university graduates, the recognition of degrees and periods of study, the policy of doctoral training and student mobility among both countries.
They also signed a cooperation agreement in the field of short-cycle higher education, which will allow Cuba to implement this modality in the national higher education system.
