CARACAS, Venezuela. – The fifty-two thousand fifty-five Venezuelans registered to be nominated for the National Constituent Assembly began this Tuesday to collect signatures to validate their candidacies.

The collection of signatures started with great enthusiasm on the part of those who aspire to join the forum, which will drive changes in the constitutional text.

At the Bolivar Square in Caracas, political leader Zulay Aguirre emphasized that it is a day of joy and happiness, in which they will be proving to the world that the Venezuelan people want peace and democracy.

Alba Rangel, member of La Esperanza de Catia Communal Council in Caracas, said she supports all the revolution´s initiatives because they are always aimed at protecting the achievements of these eighteen years.
