HAVANA, Cuba.- The President of Cuba, Miguel Diaz-Canel sent his condolences to the family of Paloma Dominguez Caballero, who died last October 9 due to health complications, and confirmed that for Cuba there is nothing more important than a child.

On his Twitter account, the Cuban President wrote this Monday, Painful Loss of Paloma Baby. Condolences to her parents. #MINSAP investigates and jealously cares for other affected children. Political manipulation of adversaries offends and hurts. Nothing is more important than a child to #RevoluciónCubana. #SomosCuba

Last October 12 a note from the Ministry of Public Health reported on an adverse event associated with vaccination with PRS, which protects against mumps, rubella and measles, and in which five children who received the dose were affected. They immediately were cared for in Havana by high-level scientific specialists.

Since this unfortunate event that is now being investigated by authorities of the Ministry of Public Health, enemies of the Cuban Revolution have unleashed a political campaign of manipulation in order to damage Cuba´s image and its health system.
