Sao Paulo Forum Working Group Meeting was held in Cuba.

HAVANA, Cuba.- The President of the Republic, Miguel Diaz-Canel, urged to articulate the struggle for the unity of left-wing forces, and defend the region as a Peace Zone, at the Meeting of the Working Group of the Forum of Sao Paulo, also attended by the Second Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba, Jose Ramon Machado Ventura.

Diaz-Canel warned of the current aggressive escalation of imperialism, and in that sense remarked the role of young people in the struggle in the face of its perversity.

The Cuban President highlighted that we face an ideological and cultural battle, from a colonizing strategy, with which they seek to destroy the identity of our peoples.

The importance of working on an emancipating communication platform was highlighted by the Cuban President at the Sao Paulo Forum Working Group Meeting, which ratified the postulates defended at the Anti-imperialist Solidarity Meeting for Democracy and against Neoliberalism.

Commitment to Solidarity with Just Causes

At the Sao Paulo Forum Working Group Meeting, held at the Havana Convention Palace, the Second Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba, Jose Ramon Machado Ventura, pointed out that this mechanism is an unequivocal expression of unity and action around the common goals of the region.

Machado Ventura, assured that the more radical the aggression against Cuba, the greater our commitment to solidarity with the right causes, and reiterated that we will not abandon any of our principles.

The Sao Paulo Forum Working Group Meeting, conducted by its Executive Secretary, Monica Valente, assessed the agreements of the previous meeting in Venezuela, and discussed the challenges of progressive movements.

The struggle for just causes, as well as campaigns of solidarity with Cuba, Nicaragua, Venezuela and former Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, also marked the day.
