Minsk, Belarus.-The chairman of the State Committee on Science and Technology of Belarus, Alexander Shumilin, has discussed with Cuban ambassador to this country, Gerardo Suarez Alvarez, the bilateral cooperation in the scientific sphere.

Shumilin announced during the meeting the forthcoming development of a joint project between two institutions of both countries.

This is the use of microbial preparations for the protection against vegetable crop diseases of economic importance.

This will be developed in the context of the protocol approved during the first meeting of the Joint Belarusian-Cuban Commission for Science and Technology Cooperation.

The meeting was used as a framework for updating the progress of compliance with the aforementioned Protocol signed last year in Havana.
