President of Cuban Parliament receives Vice-President of Vietnamese National Assembly.

HAVANA, Cuba.- Cuba and Vietnam are made of the same lineage, with courageous people, who resist, and with leaders like Fidel and Ho Chi Minh, Esteban Lazo Hernandez, President of the National Assembly of People´s Power, said in receiving at the Capitol of Havana the Vice-President of the National Assembly of that country, Uong Chu Luu.

Lazo highlighted the endearing, fraternal and deep historical roots, and thanked the support in Cuba´s fight against the blockade, which escalates today with the upcoming application of Title III of the Helms Burton Act.

The Vice-President of the Vietnamese Parliament congratulated Cuba on the newly proclaimed Constitution and remarked that the visit will continue to strengthen the traditional relations of friendship.

Cuba is a very important market for Vietnam, Uong Chu Luu emphasized and insisted on exploiting to the maximum all the existing potentials to continue fortifying the economic nexus.
