Esteban Lazo Hernandez, president of the National Assembly of People’s Power, will make an official visit to Vietnam from next Sunday, as part of the high-level contacts between the two countries.

Lazo was invited by his counterpart Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, and will fulfill a program until next June 18.

Cuba and Vietnam established diplomatic relations on December 2, 1960 and they exchange delegations frequently.

The visit of the President of the Cuban Parliament will take place some days after that made in Havana by the Minister of Defense of Vietnam, General Ngo Xuan Lich, whom President Raul Castro received.
