HAVANA, Cuba.- There are only a few days to go before the year ends and all the conditions are prepared in Havana to celebrate as the Cuban capital deserve, even if some facilities are being repaired after the passage of Hurricane Irma.

Under the slogan Unity and Fidelity. Fortresses of the Cuban Revolution, the people of Havana will celebrate the 59th anniversary of the triumph of the Revolution.

Maribel Cabana, of the Union of Commerce and Gastronomy in the province, explained that all the restaurants will offer dinners for four, eight and twelve persons with reasonable prices, which can be acquired through previous reservations. There is also a program aimed at young people and children in all the recreational parks of Havana.

New Year’s Offers

Among the actions to celebrate the 59th anniversary of the triumph of the Revolution, the Union of Commerce and Gastronomy in Havana works to guarantee a wide offer in the markets reopened this year, as Maribel Cabana explained.

The official stressed the people going to these big markets will be able to buy pork meat as a main product, as well as smoked, canned, dairy and seafood.

The elderly also has a space reserved in these festivities at the end of the year, because those attending daily to the centers of Attention to the Family will enjoy special dinners on December 24, 25, and 31 and January 1st.

Music and Dance in Havana Municipalities

Music and dance will also take over the Havana neighborhoods in these last days of the year.

Celia Rosa Alonso, deputy director of Culture in the province, explained that since December 25 to 29 it will take place the Cuba Va in 10 landmarks of the city.

Alonso added that cultural activities and book sales will be developed since 6 pm, and from 9 pm to 12 several orchestras will perform in those places.
