SANTIAGO DE CUBA, Cuba. – The artists participating in the Caribbean Festival at the eastern province of Santiago de Cuba paid tribute this Wednesday to the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz.

Similarly, in Santa Iphigenia Cemetery national cultural promoters and foreign actors deposited flowers before the monolith treasuring the ashes of the Eternal Commander.

A report by the evening broadcast of the National Television newscast underlined that Fidel Castro defended the Caribbean peoples´ integration and the protection of cultural values before the hegemony of the northern powers.

In the same way, several interviewees agreed that the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution loved the Caribbean and all Latin America, and fought for the primacy of unity and social justice in the world.
