Cuba supports investors against U.S. threats.

HAVANA, Cuba.- The Cuban Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment, Rodrigo Malmierca, reiterated Cuba’s support for foreign businesspersons with investments in the island, following U.S. measures against Havana.

During a business forum with Spanish companies in the tourism sector, we ratified support to the entrepreneurship of other nations, and especially to Spain in confrontation with the Helms-Burton Act, Malmierca wrote on Twitter.

The Minister said they appreciate the traditional confidence of Spanish companies in the Cuban market, and he highlighted the support of the Spanish Minister of Commerce Industry and Tourism, Maria Reyes, to the firms of her country present on the island.

Donald Trump’s government activated title III of the Helms-Burton Act, which allows Americans to sue those who invest in Cuban properties nationalized after the revolutionary triumph.
