LA PAZ, Bolivia.- The Cuban Ambassador to Bolivia, Benigno Perez, highlighted the resounding support of that South American nation to the Caribbean island in its fight against the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States.

For many years Bolivia has supported the Cuban resolution against this policy that is almost six decades, and with the advent of President Evo Morales that support has become more visible and resounding, the diplomat said.

The Cuban Ambassador to Bolivia pointed out that every month, the Bolivian President publishes tweets condemning the blockade, and in his speeches of the high-level segment to the United Nations raises his voice against this genocidal policy.

Perez added that Morales even urges that Cuba be compensated for the multi-millionaire damage caused by the blockade, and also requests that the U.S. Government return to the island the territory occupied with the military base at Guantanamo.
