Matanzas, Cuba.- The forum ”Climate Change and Technologies for Adaptation in Coastal Areas” will open the 10th Workshop on Science, Technology and Innovation CITAtenas-2017 from December 5th to 8th.

Organizers announced the program of the event today and indicated that it will include the discussion of the experiences of scientific journals’ publishing houses in the higher education system.

CITAtenas-2017 is organized by the provincial office in Matanzas of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment (Citma), supported by some 20 institutions, including Brazil and Spain.

The university of Matanzas, 100 kilometers east of Havana, will host the event with the slogan ‘Ten years building capacities for development’.

The program also includes the panels: ‘Technological services in the ecological restoration of coastal ecosystems’ and ‘Contributions for the growth and development of food production’.

Other topics will target the access and communication strategy to promote science, while the exhibition ’45 years of science in Higher Education in Matanzas’ will be opened and followed by a round table.

‘Since the first time it was held in 2007, each year the event has been a very important meeting for the scientific community,’ said Dariel de Leon Garcia, president of the organizing committee.
