MADRID, Spain.- The President of the Spanish Government, Pedro Sanchez, considered feasible an advance of the general elections, fixed by calendar for June 2020, before the inability to approve the State budgets for 2019.

Sanchez recalled that the date of the legislative elections is a prerogative of the Chief Executive of Spain and minimized that these are held in May, in coincidence with the municipal, autonomous and European.

The Spanish President, who came to power last June through the first successful motion of censure of the Spanish democracy, in which the government of conservative Mariano Rajoy fell, requires the support of other parties to carry out his projects.

The Socialists have just 84 of the more than 300 seats in the lower house, so to get majorities they must negotiate with other leftist and nationalist forces.
