London, United Kingdom.- British tour-operator The Holiday Place, Virgin Atlantic airline and the Spanish hotel chain Melia combined wills and actions to promote Cuba among over 100 travel agencies of the UK.

The Holiday Place CEO Raj Shah explained that they promote another 25 destinations, but Cuba is his favorite market, he said at a promotional meeting at the Cuban Embassy.

Since 1993, this tour-operator sends to the island around 12,000 British tourists through Cuba Holidays, its branch in Havana.

Virgin Atlantic, the only airline with two weekly direct flights between London and Havana, announced that starting in July the company will operate the route with a recently remodeled Airbus A332 to provide better comfort to passengers.

Melia’s representative in London, Elizabeth Rivas, said the chain’s hotels in Cuba’s main destinations and cities are available to all British travel agencies.
