As on January 17, 1959, the people of Pinar del Rio, on Wednesday night, evoked the arrival of the Caravan of Freedom under the command of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz and his companions.
The central act for the anniversary 57 of the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR), on September 28, will be in Pinar del Rio province, according to the national coordinator of the organization, Carlos Rafael Miranda Martinez.
“When we help Africa we are paying off the debt we have with that people,” Esteban Lazo Hernandez, president of the National Assembly of Popular Power, said in a meeting held this Saturday in Havana with Seif Ali Iddi, second Vice-President of Zanzibar.
