Barranquilla, Colombia.- Cuban gymnasts continue to contribute to the medal standings at the Central American and Caribbean Games with Manrique Larduet getting Gold and Silver, Marcia Videaux won two Silver and Randy Leru obtained a Bronze.

Larduet has two Gold medals this time getting one in the Still Rings with a total of 14.250 points that did not leave any doubts of his victory. Meanwhile, Videaux received 14.112 points on the vault and 12.500 in the parallel bars to finish second in the competition.
Marcia told ACN that she is very happy because she had prepared well and wanted to help her team. “I have two Gold and two Silver and I still have two apparatus tomorrow to increase my medals”.

The judges were not very good with me in the vault apparatus but this gives me strength to improve and win tomorrow, I will overcome my mistakes and expect to do better on the balance beam and floor exercise, she said.

Marcia said she is proud, despite her youth, to be the guide of the team and will win the promise she made to herself and her friend Larduet.

Our promise is; the one that loses must take out the other to a nice place. However, the competition is tied, because we both have Gold and Silver, she said.

Randy Leru got a Bronze medal on the floor exercise.
