PINAR DEL RIO, Cuba. – Pinar del Rio province outstands by its extensive teaching coverage, Minister of Education Ena Elsa Velazquez Cobiella said during the analysis of the beginning of the forthcoming academic period in the territory.

Velazquez Cobiella added that only the previous year the province incorporated 700 new teachers, although she emphasized the need to continue that program to include the municipalities where more professionals are still needed.

The Minister of Education confirmed that Pinar del Rio is similarly distinguished in investments and repairing plan of schools.

In this respect, the President of the Council of the Provincial Administration, Ernesto Barreto Castillo, remarked the one percent of the territorial contribution insures to revive schools.
