HAVANA, Cuba.-The President of the Councils of State and Ministers of Cuba, Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, said in Guantanamo that the economic battle constitutes today a fundamental objective to guarantee a development in the domestic life of Cubans.
The member of the Political Bureau said that amid the intensification of America’s aggressive policy towards Cuba, the strengthening of economy is a national priority.

Diaz-Canel called for reinforcing economic structures based on mobilizing planning, as well as strengthening the Government’s work at all levels.

At the end of his visit to Guantanamo, the Cuban President also called for a better use of human resources and potential, to further boost local development programs. 

Banishing Corruption

We must be able to eliminate the chains of defaults and the theft of fuel that is so attentive to the economic development of the country, Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, President of the Councils of State and ministers of Cuba, said when concluding a visit to Guantanamo.

The member of the Political Bureau called to make things right and added that cadres should be sensitive to the problems of the population and to strengthen communication with the people.

Diaz-Canel also called for solutions to problems through scientific research and innovation, as well as to diversify production to replace imports.

The Cuban President led the government visit that for two days the Council of Ministers paid in the far east of the country.
