Havana, Cuba.-Cuban organizations have ratified their support for Venezuela, whose government is facing the fury of hegemonic forces to overthrow democracy.

The ceremony at the Cuban Institute of Friendship with Peoples in Havana was attended by representatives of the International Committee for Peace, Justice and Dignity to the People and the Cuban Movement for Peace and the Sovereignty of Peoples, among other guests.

The Ambassador of Venezuela in Cuba, Alí Rodríguez, warned that an armed conflict led by the United States against his country would not only affect that nation, but all Latin America, North America and the Caribbean as well.

‘Behind such belligerence, are the interests of huge monopolies who prefer to place big capitals above all and everything, prior to avoid a bloodshed of unsuspected proportions, the problem that is happening now, is inherent to the voracity of capitalism, and the classics of philosophy and other authors who had already talked about that,’ Rodriguez said.

‘In the calculations of the US, we are the biggest problem, and that must be, because today more than ever, that we are anticapitalist, anticolonialist and socialist’, he pointed out.

‘Perhaps now we may be a bad example for the region, but things change, whether they like or not,’ concluded the ambassador of Venezuela in Cuba.
