Consultation on the Constitution.

HAVANA, Cuba.- With a total freedom, in a gigantic exercise of democracy, men and women from all sectors of Cuban society express today their criteria on the draft Constitution of the Republic.

Among them are also the youngest, those who were not born in 1976 when the Magna Carta in force was promulgated, and they live now the wonderful experience of being part, to contribute, to say, to participate in the construction of the most important law of a country.

It will be a Constitution written by all Cubans, defending the interests of the humble people, a young man said at one of the consultation meetings that take place since August 13. This week they begin at the student centers.

And they know that in Cuba, like no other nation in the world, we all build the future.

Building the Future between Everyone

From young lips emerge strong and wise interventions, proposals for modifications, additions or suppressions of the draft Constitution of the Republic.

They do not focus their saying in a single article. They talk about new forms of ownership, of rights, duties and guarantees; changes in the structure of the State, how important is to keep free health and education services as part of the text.

Not because they are young their analysis have no value. These are reflections to enrich a project that is extremely valuable already. These are opinions to ratify the path Cubans chose sovereignly.

These are criteria for continuing to build a socialist, prosperous and sustainable nation, because as Fidel said: This revolution is the revolution of our people. It’s the revolution of our young people.
