WASHINGTON, USA.- The U.S. Department of State ordered this Wednesday the departure of fifteen Cuban diplomats from Washington, a week after the island´s government urged that country not to make hasty decisions.

The measure is related to the health incidents reported by members of the U.S. Foreign Service in Havana, but Washington pointed out it does not mean a change of policy towards the Caribbean country or assignment of responsibilities.

This provision also seeks to match the operational capacity of the diplomatic venues in the respective capitals, after the United States announced the decision to withdraw more than half of its diplomatic staff in Havana.

The measures are given in spite of the State Department’s recognition that investigators have not been able to determine who is responsible or what caused those facts.
