Caracas, Venezuela.- In the last twenty days the Venezuelan government extended the bridges of dialogue with various sectors to seek national peace, Elias Jaua, president of the Commission for the National Constituent Assembly, said during a press conference in Caracas.

Jaua added the process for the National Constituent Commission ended its first stage, during which they conducted a frank, cordial and profound dialogue with all sectors, including the Episcopal Conference of the South American country.

The president of the Commission for the National Constituent Assembly highlighted that at that first stage to create the National Constituent Assembly, they held meetings to try to achieve peace and avoid confrontation between two antagonistic models, which must coexist.

He noted that the self-proclaimed Roundtable is responsible if its leaders persist in promoting violent destabilization actions, rather than dialogue for peace.
