Havana, Cuba.- Organizations bringing together Cuban religious people from different beliefs are celebrating a vigil to support peace in Venezuela, a country target of U.S. aggression.

The activity will take place at the headquarters of the First Presbyterian Reformed Church in Havana, with the participation of institutions and interreligious platforms.

The Cuban society is mobilizing since February 14 to demand the end of the U.S. interference in Venezuela and support Constitutional President Nicolas Maduro, who is facing an attempted coup d’Etat.

Students, soldiers, jurists, peasants, self-employed workers, journalists and neighbors, among other sectors, have carried out actions such as the collection of signatures framed in the international campaign ‘Hands Out of Venezuela’.

They have also accompanied the Cuban government’s denunciations of the U.S. plans to create conditions for a military intervention in Venezuelan, under the pretext of a fabricated humanitarian crisis.
