UNITED NATIONS, New York. – The Permanent observer for Palestine to the United Nations, Riyadh Mansour denounced this Tuesday the provocations from Israeli settlers and authorities in the occupied territories.
When talking at the meeting of the UN Committee for the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian people, the diplomat stated the Israeli occupation constitutes the main cause of Palestinians´ suffering.
According to Mansour, in the Old City of East Jerusalem the Palestinian people achieved last month a heroic victory with their peaceful protests against the actions of the occupying security forces.
Many people decided to pray in the street, resisting provocations and repression, and until after twelve days of demonstrations and clashes the metal detectors at the entrances to Al Aqsa were removed, he said.
