Members of different American guilds and people supporting Cuba learned more about the reality of the workers of the island during the visit of a Cuban union leader to the United States.

Victor Manuel Lemagne, secretary general of the National Union of Hotels and Tourism, arrived in the US on June 27, and since then he participated in meetings in cities such as Berkeley, Sacramento, Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, and Baltimore.

Lemagne is also member of the executive secretariat of the Workers’ Central Union of Cuba (CTC) and said that during his stay he attended six solidarity acts and several unions meetings.

The secretary general of the National Union of Hotels and Tourism said that such events focused on sharing information on the updating of the economic model in Cuba, and discussing the blockade´s effect.
