HAVANA, Cuba.- Professionals, researchers and university professors received the PhD degree in specific sciences and sciences, and thesis awards for their research results.

The system of scientific degrees in Cuba includes a second level of doctorate, so this year two doctors graduated in that category, Luis Sergio Alvarez Lajonchere, from the Center of Marine Research of the University of Havana, and Damaso Castillo Toro, from the Grain Institute.

Ana Margarita Esteva Guas, director of Postgraduate at the University of Havana, reiterated in the ceremony the campus´s commitment to the formation of young people to solve problems of the nation.

On behalf of the graduates, Doctor in Education Sciences Leyda Finale, rector of the University of Matanzas, expressed their gratitude to Fidel for making their studies possible.
