HAVANA, Cuba.- As part of the Computer Science Convention 2018, the tenth International Congress on Geomatics was inaugurated with guests from 17 countries.

The Director General of Geocuba Business Group, Eladio Fernandez, highlighted that the meeting will be conducive to exchange experiences on geomatics education and training, as well as its importance in terms of environment and tourism.

The inaugural Conference of the tenth Congress of Geomatics, included in the Computer Science Convention 2018, focused on the confrontation in Cuba to climate change, with special attention to the Life Task.

The first Deputy Minister of Science, Technology and Environment, Fernando Gonzalez, said they have included 106 studies, on danger, vulnerability and risk, and the main threat lies in the rise of the middle sea level.
