HAVANA, Cuba. – President Raul Castro headed the official reception ceremony to his counterpart of the Gabonese Republic, Ali Bongo Ondimba, who also paid tribute to the Cuban national hero at the Jose Marti Memorial in the Revolution Palace.

After reviewing the honor guard, both statesmen saluted the respective delegations and later they held official talks to assess the state of bilateral relations, as well as other issues on the international agenda.

The President of Gabon was also received this Friday by the President of the National Assembly of People´s Power, Esteban Lazo, and attended a business forum with Rodrigo Malmierca, Cuban Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment.

During the meeting, Cuban and Gabonese entrepreneurs valued the possible extension of linkages in sectors such as industry, trade and health.
