CARACAS, Venezuela.- The Bank of Venezuela will make available to users in the coming days the payment in Petro Cryptocurrency, through electronic channels PuntoYa and Biopago.

These significant advances are part of the Bolivarian Government’s strategies to combat the blockade imposed by the United States, and is intended to consolidate itself as one of the main electronic payment alternatives in the country.

Bank of Venezuela executives anticipated they will soon provide loans in Petro, for the nation’s productive program; because it seeks to turn this cryptocurrency into a lever for productive development.

For his part, the head of State, Nicolas Maduro, said he considers making the Bank of Venezuela a spearhead of cryptocurrency, and will facilitate the insertion of the South American nation’s products into the international market.
