BRUSSELS, Belgium. – The Council of Ministers of the Africa, Caribbean and Pacific Group, approved during its 109 session a new resolution against the economic and commercial blockade the United States applies against Cuba.

The approved text expresses its full support and solidarity with the Cuban people and government and its strong opposition to the unilateral and illegal siege imposed by Washington against Havana.

The Ministers of the Africa, Caribbean and Pacific Group countries also invited the international community to continue expressing their support and solidarity in the lifting of this genocidal policy.

The project was approved after an intervention by the Cuban Ambassador in Brussels, Norma Goicochea Estenoz, who denounced the interventionist essence of the Helms-Burton Act and the deep extraterritorial scope of its Title III.
