Cuban Chancellor greets Bolivia for anniversary of its independence

HAVANA, Cuba.- Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, sent a greeting to the government and people of Bolivia on the 194th anniversary of its independence from Spain.

The Chancellor wrote on his Twitter account, We admire your defense of the democratic-cultural revolution led by Brother President Evo Morales and his struggle for sustainable development and social justice.

In another message, the Cuban Chancellor pointed out that everyone’s commitment must be to safeguard future generations from the scourge of war, to work to preserve international peace and security, as well as to foster friendship between nations based on sovereign equality.

Bolivia achieved its full independence from the Spanish metropolis on a date like today but in 1825, when it was proclaimed as the Republic of Bolivia.
