Havana, Cuba.- The process of informatization of Cuban society continues advancing, now with the entry into force today of new regulations of the Ministry of Communications for its promotion.

This is the case with resolutions 98 and 99 of 2019, which authorize the creation of private wired or wireless data transmission networks for natural and legal persons, as well as the importation of equipment for this purpose.

These regulations establish that users with personal networks inside their homes do not require authorization, as long as it is non-profit, and do not exceed 100 milliwatts of effective radiated power.

The provisions do not establish or regulate the services that a private network can provide to its members, such as downloading files, applications, games and antivirus updates, as long as they do not affect the integrity and security of the country, said Radio Reloj.
