Marti Flame in Villa Clara.

SANTA CLARA, Cuba. – The route carrying Marti light arrived at Villa Clara as part of the tour throughout Cuba, to pay tribute to the national hero on the 165th anniversary of his birth.

On January 10th the caravan left Santiago de Cuba carrying five torches that symbolize the tips of the Lone Star, which were ignited in the eternal flame of the monument where Jose Mari´s remains rest in the Santa Iphigenia Cemetery.

At its entrance to Villa Clara in the town of Manzanares, which borders Sancti Spiritus, the With the Light of Your Ideas Route was escorted by 25 young people who will guard the torches for four days.

In the tour of the flame by localities of that central province, cultural activities and literary workshops will be held on the work of the author of La Edad de Oro (The Golden Age).
