Act of remembrance to Fidel held at the ICAP.

HAVANA, Cuba.- The political-cultural act of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) was a moment of remembrance to Fidel and commitment to his legacy constituted, on the second anniversary of the physical disappearance of the Commander-in-Chief.

Fernando Gonzalez Llort, president of that institution, explained that while he was moved to prison in the United States, the guards told him that Fidel would not move a finger for the release of The Cuban Five, and he clarified that the leader of the Revolution moved the whole world for that cause.

He also recalled that the undefeated guerrilla led the most just and noble battles, not only of Cuba, but of humanity, and that is why Fidel is remembered in the ends of the Earth.

Fidel was the driving force behind the Cuban unity and continental integration in order to confront the neoliberal policies of the governments submissive to the empire.

An Eternal Commitment

During the political-cultural act of remembrance to Fidel held at the ICAP, Yodier Cabrera Rosales, secretary general of the Young Communist League of Cuba in the institution, expressed the commitment of the young people to continue the work of the Commander-in-Chief.

Cabrera Rosales pointed out that the Cuban youth will not relent in his efforts to defend the achievements of the Revolution, having as a permanent guide Fidel´s legacy, who is a symbol of unity and courage against any challenge.

In the ceremony held in the ICAP dedicated to the Commander-in- Chief, several documentaries on essential moments lived by the Cuban people always with his invincible guerrilla were exhibited.

Also the Marian de Gonicht Singing Academy, directed by Hugo Osle, interpreted a wide range of patriotic songs dedicated to the historical leader of the Revolution as His Name is People and Riding with Fidel.
