Trump cancelled meeting with Putin in Argentina.

BUENOS AIRES. Argentine.- US President Donald Trump cancelled a planned meeting in Argentina with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, at the 2018 G20 Buenos Aires summit this weekend, citing the military tensions between Moscow and Ukraine.

The announcement was made on Twitter and it happened after Trump told reporters that the meeting would probably take place as planned.

According to the White House press secretary, Sarah Huckabee, the President decided to cancel the meeting accompanied by the Chief of Staff, the National Security adviser and the Secretary of State, after discussing the situation between Ukraine and Russia.

However, Moscow said it did not receive advance notice of the cancellation, and Putin´s spokesman Dmitry Peskov declared they heard the news on Trump’s own tweets.
