HAVANA, Cuba.- The head of the Pakistani Senate, Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani, received the Ambassador of Cuba, Gabriel Tiel and gave him a message of congratulations to the newly elected President of the island, Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez.

Tiel, in turn, congratulated Sanjrani for his recent designation to the head of the Upper House, according to a report by the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its Embassy in Islamabad.

During the meeting, they reviewed some main issues of relations between the National Assembly of People’s Power of Cuba and the Senate of Pakistan were reviewed.

Sanjrani and Tiel expressed the desire to strengthen and broaden these links, in particular the implementation of a memorandum signed in Havana in 2017 and the joint work of the parliamentary friendship groups.
