HAVANA, Cuba.- The President of Cuba, Miguel Diaz-Canel, reaffirmed on his Twitter account his support for the management of his Bolivian counterpart, Evo Morales, re-elected on last October 20 for a new term.
Since his arrival for president, Morales has promoted various social programs and among his initiatives includes the nationalization of natural resources, which were previously in the hands of foreign companies.
Its government program Bolivia changes, Evo fulfills carried out more than 8 thousand works in the sectors of education, sport, health and agriculture between 2007 and July 2008.
However, the opposition dismisses these achievements and strives not to recognize the results of the elections, promoting actions to try to destabilize Morales’ government, whose policies allowed a significant reduction in poverty levels.
