HAVANA, Cuba.- The Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Rogelio Sierra, begins a work visit to Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, Barbados, Guyana, and Jamaica, a tour that aims to strengthen relations with the Caribbean.

According to the Cuban Chancellery, Sierra´s Caribbean route will be extended until June16, and includes an extensive program of activities, like meetings with authorities from those countries, Cuban residents, and the staff of the Cuban missions.

The Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs will also held meetings with executives from the Caribbean Community and the Association of Caribbean States.

The communicate by the Chancellery adds that the tour aims to reaffirm the historical bilateral relations with the area, to exchange criteria on issues of mutual interest, and confirm the Cuban will to continue cooperation.
