HAVANA, Cuba.- Donald Trump’s Administration is the main threat to international peace and security, Chancellor Bruno Rodriguez warned at the Anti-Imperialist Meeting of Solidarity for Democracy and against Neoliberalism, which opened at the Convention Palace.

Its opening session was attended by Jose Ramon Machado Ventura, Second Secretary of the Party Central Committee; Esteban Lazo, President of the Parliament and of the Council of State; other members of the Political Bureau; and the Prime Minister of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Ralph Gonsalves.

Bruno Rodriguez stated that capitalism is unworkable, with its irrational model of production and consumption, which generates growing inequality, causes the advancement of climate change, and leads to the extermination of the human species.

At the forum of progressive forces the Cuban Chancellor reiterated that there will be no sustainable development without the right to development of the countries of the South, without social justice.

In Difficult Times Solidarity Is Decisive

At the Anti-Imperialist Meeting of Solidarity for Democracy and against Neoliberalism, Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla denounced the Internet as the most disadvantageous battlefield, where human beings are tried to turn into docile consumers.

The Cuban Chancellor emphasized that communication, organization and digital political mobilization of the excluded masses are necessary, because we cannot leave a space for the adversary, who uses all weapons.

On the upsurge in the U.S. blockade against Cuba, Rodriguez Parrilla warned that the White House foreign policy team is the most reactionary, corrupt, warmongering and provocative of recent decades.

The speaker did not rule out the U.S. presidential campaign accentuates the confrontation with Cuba, and he highlighted that in difficult times, everyone’s efforts in the face of aggression will be decisive.

Despite the Blockade, Cuba Will Resist

In his words at the Anti-imperialist Meeting of Solidarity, for Democracy and against Neoliberalism, the head of Cuban diplomacy explained that this year Cuba suffers difficult pitfalls due to the intensification of the blockade.

The Minister noted that this genocidal policy is now adding, with greater intensity, the banking pursuit, the elimination of travel to Havana, and the new inclusion of Cuban companies on spurious lists that prohibit transactions with similar Americans.

Rodriguez Parrilla pointed out that the Helms-Burton Act is exacerbated to stifle the Cuban economy by violating all elementary human rights. He also thanked the unrestricted support of social movements for Cuba and its Revolution.

The Cuban Chancellor concluded that we will remain firm and optimistic in permanent renewal of our Socialism, under the guidance of the Communist Party and our President Miguel Diaz-Canel.
