Havana, Cuba.- Cuban tobacco authorities informed that the new Montecristo Linea 1935, with three vitolas or formats, will reach the luxury products market shortly.
According to the statement from the international corporation Habanos S.A., of the three mentioned vitolas, two of them are unpublished, with a new presentation and strong flavor.
The new Linea is joined to the brand’s regular portfolio, making up the most Premium proposal of the legendary Montecristo.
Those vitolas are Maltes and Dumas, totally unpublished, and Leyenda, which takes the format of the Montecristo 80 Anniversario special edition, presented in a limited way in 2015 to commemorate at that time the 80th anniversary of the brand.
Montecristo is the best-known brand, and one of the most appreciated of Habano cigars, considered as a reference of the Habano flavor.
The name for the new brand emerged with the novel The Count of Monte Cristo, by Alexandre Dumas, very popular among the cigar rollers of the H. Upmann factory in Havana, where the brand was founded in 1935.
