SANTIAGO DE CUBA, Cuba. – Floral offerings from President Raul Castro and the people of Cuba were deposited this Wednesday in the pantheon of the Martyrs of July 26 in Santa Iphigenia Cemetery in Santiago de Cuba.
Lazaro Exposito, first Secretary of the Party, and Beatriz Johnson, president of the provincial government, presided over the homage ceremony, as well as leaders of mass and political organizations in the territory.
Also as part of the remembrance tribute, flowers were placed before the tomb of national hero Jose Marti and in the granite monolith where the ashes of the historical leader Fidel Castro lie.
