HAVANA, Cuba.- More than 130 civil society organizations will be represented in the Fifteenth Forum against the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States Government against Cuba 56 years ago.

Fermin Quinones, President of the Cuban Association of the United Nations (ACNU), announced that the meeting will be next October 12 at the Raul Roa Garcia Institute of International Relations.

Quinones explained that the effects of a criminal policy that caused deprivation of the Cuban people would be denounced, a policy that hinders their economic and social development, and is a massive and flagrant violation of their human rights.

On October 31, the UN General Assembly will discuss Cuba’s report on the need to put an end to the blockade, and as it is a common practice, a strong support from the international community is expected.
