CATALONIA, Spain. – The police of the Spanish region of Catalonia killed this Monday Younes Abouyaaqoub, the alleged perpetrator of the attack in the city of Barcelona by a terrorist cell last Thursday.
According to the reports, the suspect was killed by the Catalan police force in the town of Subirats, in the region of Alto de Penedes, about fifty kilometers from Barcelona.
The terrorist was fugitive from the multiple hit-and-run committed in the Ramblas of Barcelona, which left thirteen dead and more than a hundred wounded. He was hit by a patrol while exhibiting a belt of explosives.
Through various social networks, the police explained that a brigade specialized in defusing bombs is checking to see if the belt is fictitious or real.
