Plaza de Mayo Grandmothers.

CARACAS, Venezuela.- The President of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, recalled the beginnings of the Plaza de Mayo Grandmothers, which celebrates its anniversary 41.

Through a message in his Twitter account, the Venezuelan head of State recalled the date when twelve Argentine women decided to go out to the streets to demand justice in the face of the enforced disappearance of their children and grandchildren during Jorge Rafael Videla´s dictatorship.

On October 22, 1977, the human rights organization was established, six months after mothers of missing young people began to gather and walk around the Mayo Pyramid in the capital of Argentina.

The date is also remembered in the nation as the National Day for the Right to Identity. So far, the movement found more than 100 people disappeared during the dictatorship.
