TUXPAN, Mexico.- Tuxpan, in the state of Veracruz, celebrates the 62th anniversary of the departure of Granma Yacht with the expedition members led by Fidel to bring freedom to Cuba, as well as paying tribute to the historical leader of the Revolution on the second anniversary of his death.
A cultural program called Our History Exalts US takes place, from today until Sunday, at the same point where Granma Yacht sailed to Cuba, and where a museum recalls that fact and its participants.
The opening in the House-Museum will include a dissertation on that event, which unites Tuxpan and Cuba in history, in addition of the screening of an allegorical documentary and the presentation of a Veracruz ballet.
In the Civic Plaza of Tuxpan it will be held the Music and Color of Cuba Festival, as well as a ceremony in remembrance of the revolutionary expeditionary and the legacy of the Commander-in-Chief.
