Lula da Silva calls for Latin America unit.
BRAZILIA, Brazil. – The former President of Brazil, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, remarked this Monday in a locality at the Triple Frontier that integration for Latin America constitutes a necessity of survival.
Lula, who arrived there leading the caravan with which he runs three Southern states, intervened in an international seminar on regional integration that was attended also by former Paraguayan President Fernando Lugo, and the former chancellor of Argentina, Jorge Taiana.
In his speech, the founder of the Workers ‘ Party remarked the example of Cuba, which being a small country has contributed to the formation of thousands of poor young people from Latin America and the world.
The former Brazilian president also referred to the fourth stage of the Lula for Brazil Project, which has taken him through the States of Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina and Parana.
