LA PAZ, Bolivia.-The Movement to Socialism proclaimed Bolivia’s President Evo Morales as its candidate for the 2019 general election, a gesture Morales thanked considering it as a support to the process of change in the South American country.

Bolivian Minister of Government, Carlos Gustavo Romero Bonifaz, said Morales is the candidate to preside over the country, and stressed the population decided and ratified that it is an expression of unity to defend the process of change the President started more than a decade ago.

In this way, Morales’s supporters have designated him as his candidate to reapply for the upcoming presidential elections, to be held in 2019.

Evo Morales has ruled Bolivia since January 22, 2006 and since then he has been re-elected in 2009 and 2014.
