La Paz, Bolivia.- President Evo Morales condemned today the provocation and interference of former presidents Andres Pastrana, from Colombia, and Jorge Quiroga, from Bolivia, who sought to enter Cuba and foster instability and damage the image this latter country.
‘We condemn the act of impertinent provocation and reckless interference by former presidents Tuto Quiroga and Andres Pastrana who were trying to enter the sovereign country of Cuba,’ said Morales on the social network Twitter.
Morales said that people supporting coups d’etat and U.S. President Donald Trump will never be well received in countries free of imperialism.
Cuba denied the entry to the national territory to these former presidents, who were part of a plot to stage provocation in the country seeking to receive an alleged award funded by counterrevolutionary groups.
The aforementioned award is given by the Latin American Youth Network for Democracy, a group financed by members of the Cuban counterrevolution in Miami and Europe for subversive purposes against Cuba, according to previous reports.
The Bolivian Committee of Solidarity ’90 Years Fidel’ also issued a public statement to deplore these provocative activities against Cuba.
‘Once again we strongly condemn the new provocation of the international right-wing against the Cuban Revolution, and particularly that of unpopular and mediocre Jorge Tuto Quiroga, who, for three or four dollars, follows every ploy outlined by Donald Trump’s administration’, said the Committee.
The statement praised the Cuban Revolution, as well as Cuban people and leaders, and the initiative of preventing traditional counterrevolutionaries from visiting the country of Jose Marti and Fidel Castro Ruz.
