BRUSSELS, Belgium.- The Minister of Culture of Cuba, Abel Prieto, participated in Brussels in a panel convened by the European Commission in which he highlighted the social integration of Cuban women and, specifically, their role in artistic creation.
Prieto was invited by the organizers and took part in the forum titled Cultural Heritage and Creativity through Women Lens, held in Belgium in the context of European Development Days.
In his presentation, Prieto also addressed the cultural policy of the Revolution aimed at preserving the memory, traditions and identity of the nation, as well as safeguarding the extraordinary cultural heritage.
Other senior officials, such as the Director General for International Cooperation and Development of the European Union, Stefano Manservisi, also spoke in the forum.
