Victoria, Seychelles.- Cuban doctors and health technicians working in Seychelles highlighted the importance of the changes proposed in the draft Constitution on public consultation in their country.

During the debate of the proposal, the participants reaffirmed their commitment to the Revolution and its leaders, Dr. Magdiel Rodriguez, head of the Cuban medical team in Seychelles, told Prensa Latina.

Among the topics discussed were those related to the approval of new property forms in Cuba.

The health workers also highlighted the rights and guarantees of the people embodied in the document.

An issue that sparked debate was dual citizenship, especially related to medical services.

Those attending the meeting requested a clarification to know if Cubans living abroad on arrival to the island, under this provision, may also enjoy free national health system.

The Cuban health staff in Seychelles agreed to support marriage between two people of the same sex and the guarantees granted to protect the individual rights of the people

Also, some participants advocated the inclusion of a section that stipulates protection of animals against any type of abuse.
